Julius Caesar resigns his dictatorship after a mere 11 days in Rome and chases Pompey to Greece! Bibulus blockades half of fleet so Caesar spends a few months trying to secure food supplies. Caesar keeps trying to open negotiations with Pompey but gets nowhere (as usual)!
It all comes to a head at Dyrrachium – ROME v ROME, Caesar v Pompey – where they face off for the first time! They build miles and miles of walls, trying to fence each other in! Bibulus and Labienus show just how brutal and cruel they are by executing prisoners! Caesar disguises himself as a slave and tries to get back to Italy so he can kick his troops up the ass! There’s finally a battle where eyes and arms are lost, thousands die and Caesar decides he has to withdraw!
