In episode #5, we are still hovering around the year 70 BCE and, as such, there isn’t much to say about Caesar himself, as not a lot is known about this period of this life. However, we do know a lot about one of his closest friends, colleague and eventual rival – Gnaeus Pompeius Magnus, aka Pompey The Great, so today we talk a lot about his rise to power, and compare him to Caesar and Crassus, who also became consul at the same time as Pompey. We also talk about Servilia, Caesar’s life-long mistress and the mother of Marcus Junius Brutus, another important character in Caesar’s story.

Once again we sincerely want to thank everyone who has been leaving reviews on iTunes, Facebook and Twitter.
