A very special episode. Over the last 12 months, there’s been a ton of articles in the media comparing Donald Trump to Julius Caesar. A recent Shakespeare in the Park production of Julius Caesar in New York depicted Caesar as Donald Trump. We decided that as WE are the world’s leading experts on Caesar, we should step up and do our bit for posterity.

As a Trump supporter and a recent fan of the Napoleon podcast filled with Cameron’s takes on the Bush-era , I had to check this episode out! I knew it wouldn’t be pretty but it was entertaining.
I actually think there are more comparisons between Napoleon and Trump than Caesar-Trump. I’d like to hear an episode with Markham about that. The unrelenting refusal to let Napoleon rule in peace and efforts to destroy the French Revolution (by humiliated enemies, the Bourbon ‘deep state’) is akin to what’s going on in America with Trump’s revolution. Trump and Napoleon have similar magnetic personalities, are both masters of the information war, drove their enemies absolutely batshit insane, placed family members in powerful positions, complex relationship with Russia, have been victims of excessive propaganda, support of the middle-class/military, promoters of nationalism, etc.
OMFG, Mr D. Markham would seriously hunt you down with a machete if I even suggested such a comparison.
